Dress Code and Business Policy

Introduction

The Dress Code and Business Policy is divided into 2
specific parts:

1.0   Dress Code

2.0   Business activity, Mobile phones and Personal Computers 

Members are asked to support the Club and the Staff with the on-going implementation of this Policy. Members are also reminded that they are responsible for the dress and conduct of their guest(s) at all times and in all public areas.

We do aim to keep regulations in this area to a minimum, but we all must be aware that there are a range of members of all ages and expectations.  In addition, we have set
this policy in the context of the decisions being taken by Clubs to which we
enjoy reciprocity.

1.0 Dress Code

Smart Casual attire is permitted for gentlemen and ladies at all times.  Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket.  A tie is not obligatory, but gentlemen are encouraged to
wear one.

Demin is not permitted anywhere at any time except when you are in transit between the entrance and your bedroom.  Trainers, gym shoes, shorts, leggings, T-shirts (for men) or sports clothing are not allowed.

Smart military, religious or national dress is permitted.

Outerwear and Luggage, including umbrellas and carrier bags, must be deposited upon arrival in the Cloakroom or your bedroom.

 Private events – members, guest and external clients attending private events and meetings at the Club are not required to wear jackets.

It is expected that Members will continue to exercise discretion by ensuring that they and their guests are appropriately dressed and so maintain the proper decorum of the Club.

2.0 Business Activity,
Mobile phones and Personal Computers 

Business activity

Discrete business discussions are permitted within the
Club. 

Mobile Phones and Personal Computers

Smart phones, iPads, mini-iPads, Laptops and so forth are
now in standard common use.  These should
be used as muted viewing devices wherever you wish in the Club, whilst having
regard for the presence of other members.

Using these devices as telephones is only permitted in
bedrooms or the Business Centre on the 3^rd floor.

 Please show consideration for fellow Members around this
sensitive area.

Conclusion

The Club is seeking to keep these regulations to a
minimum and asks members to use common sense and curtesy as guiding
principles. 

The Club reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to
determine on a case-by-case basis what is or is not appropriate attire and / or
conduct, with the objective of preserving the ambiance of the Clubhouse.
