Established in 1912, the Lyceum is one of Australia’s oldest women’s clubs and draws its membership from a variety of backgrounds, in particular the professions, business, the arts and academia. With its spacious and elegant rooms, comfortable dining room and library, the Club provides a welcoming environment for Members to meet, entertain and simply relax.
Given its close proximity to Melbourne’s central business district, theatres, restaurants, galleries and shops, the Lyceum is also popular with out-of-town members of reciprocal clubs who take advantage of its pleasant and moderately priced accommodation. Men are welcome as guests. Single, twin, and double rooms with en-suite bathrooms are available. House guests have access to kitchenette, laundry and on site car parking. Rooms have wireless internet access and cable TV.
