Commonwealth Club

The Commonwealth Club was established in 1954 as a social meeting place for ladies and gentlemen. The Club moved to its current location in Yarralumla in 1965.  Set amongst two acres of garden, the Clubhouse overlooks Lake Burley Griffin and the city of Canberra. Parliament House, the National Library and the Australian National Gallery and many other attractions in the national capital are all within easy walking distance. The Club provides quality accommodation for members of reciprocal clubs with most rooms enjoying magnificent views over the lake and city.  All seventeen rooms are tastefully appointed and feature en-suite bathrooms, remote control televisions, air conditioning, direct dial telephones and personal bars.
