Mobile Phones/Laptops/Business Meetings

The Club recognises that Smartphones and PDAs are now replacing diaries, address books and notebooks. Their use for these purposes is therefore acceptable in the Club provided they are switched to silent/vibrate mode. However, when making or receiving telephone calls, Members are requested to do so from one of the stair landings. This will improve privacy and avoid annoying other Members.

Laptop, Notebook and Pad computers should not be used in the public areas of the Club. There is a small business room on the third floor equipped with a PC where wireless connection is available. Similarly, if not in use, the conference rooms are also within the wireless range. Residents may also use the wireless connection in the bedrooms.

To accommodate the business requirements of Members, the third floor business room can be used for small meetings. The main second floor lounge can also be used for one-to-one impromptu meetings between the hours of 9.30 – 11.30a.m. and 3.00 – 5.30p.m. Members may book either of the Conference Rooms for larger meetings.
