Royal Over-Seas League
Over-Seas House, Edinburgh was built in the late 19th Century as the Windsor (Temperance) Hotel. The Royal Over-Seas League bought the premises in 1927 and, during the Second World War, it was used as an Overseas officers’ Club with Canadian, Polish, Australian and New Zealand officers frequenting the Clubhouse. In recent years, the building has regained much of its grandeur and ROSL currently thrives with a growing membership and function/conference trade. Over-Seas House has sixteen bedrooms, the majority front facing with unrivalled views of Edinburgh Castle. In keeping with a building built in the late 19th Century the bedrooms are of different shapes and sizes. Period features have been retained where possible while providing flexibility for guest to enjoy their stay.
Accommodation is available at the Royal Over-Seas League.
